open to the public

This collection of is created from using digital photos manipulated as well as hand drawn work and created textures using pigment, discharge and burnout techniques to accomplish my print design. Inspired by San Francisco's car break-in epidemic and falling victim to such. I made this collection to be used within menswear. This unexpected encounter happened within seconds an instant feeling of being exposed all while taking a day to explore the city I’ve made home. The juxtaposition of this beautiful city yet filled with crime of day to day auto break-ins. Taking images of the incident and the photos previously taken of downtown SF as print, color and texture inspiration. It’s the ability for someone to take what is not theirs, the police not being able to anything about it and your belongings lost forever… feeling open to the public.
